Our Values

WORSHIP

This is our highest priority. Worship changes us. We cannot encounter God’s presence in worship without being changed as we move our focus from us onto Jesus.

We were created to worship God and enjoy His presence. The Psalmist said, “…in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” Psalm 16:11. While we acknowledge that our lives must be an act of worship to the Lord, we particularly value corporate worship (physical or virtual gathering) as expressed through songs, fellowship, mutual encouragement, and prayer.

We therefore aim to be a church

  • that seeks God’s presence by worshipping Him in Spirit and in truth, as expressed in joyful vibrant worship.

  • where Christ is exalted, God is glorified, and the message of the Gospel is proclaimed in our worship.

Our Values

THE SPIRIT & THE WORD

The Bible is central to our teaching, life and faith. We aim to hear and obey God’s Word and to do what it says as we are continually transformed into people who reflect the life and character of Jesus. It is not enough to be biblically literate, we want to be biblically obedient too.

As an Evangelical Pentecostal church, we believe in the authority of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives.

We therefore aim to be a church

  • that is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word for salvation, encouragement, and maturity of believers.

  • led and empowered by the Spirit of God for serving and advancing God’s kingdom.

  • In tune with the Spirit and having a prophetic voice for the church and the wider community.

Our Values

FELLOWSHIP

The church is made up of people from various backgrounds and different walks of life, all united in their shared identity as children of God (1 John 3:1). As believers, we have been called into a relationship with God and with brothers and sisters in Christ.

We therefore aim to be a church

  • that looks through the lenses of the Cross to genuinely love, welcome and be gracious towards one another.

  • that prioritises the blessing of gathering in worship (physically or virtually) and sharing our lives together.

“OUR GENETIC MAKE UP (the DNA)

This significantly influences who we are and what we prioritize.

JESUS: We aim to centre everything we do around Jesus. We believe He is the head, owner and operator of His church. Jesus always obeyed His Father’s voice and did His works, and we aim to do likewise.

KINGDOM: The lens through which we see things is the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the future reign of God breaking into the present through the life and ministry of Jesus. We are committed to proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom and bearing witness to the ‘now and not yet’ of the Kingdom.

COMPASSION: Worship leads us into the presence of Jesus and, by His Holy Spirit, He stirs compassion within us. We are committed to generously spending time, money and resources on others.

BIBLE: The Bible is central to our teaching, life and faith. We aim to hear and obey God’s Word and to do what it says as we are continually transformed into people who reflect the life and character of Jesus. It is not enough to be biblically literate, we want to be biblically obedient too.

CHURCH: We are committed to being a church that acts like a hospital, school, community and army:

Hospital – to find healing, freedom and wholeness

School – to be trained and equipped to do the things that Jesus did

Community – to be known, belong and know others

Army – a group of ordinary people seeking to do extraordinary things, empowered by the Holy Spirit

TRAINING: We want to equip people to live out their faith in a way that changes their lives, the lives of others and resets the very culture of our environment. We want to resource people to practically live out their faith.

New Glory Church

I see a church full of people who know and passionately love God.

I see a church overflowing with people who truly love themselves and tap into their potential.

I see a church passionate about making a difference in the world around us.

I see a church teeming with disciples of Jesus bringing hundreds and ultimately thousands of others into the light and love of Jesus.

I see leaders being developed who, in turn, develop other leaders.

I see a church where hope is restored to any hopeless situation; All sickness and diseases healed, every bondage and captivity broken by the power of God.

I see a church who lives out the principles of the Word of God and lay claim to every promise available to them.

I see a vibrant, growing church that plants other churches.
